I want to take full advantage of my time here at Stanford and there are so many classes I want to take! I just submitted a petition to take 23 units next quarter, but my friends and advisor have all told me that I’m making a mistake.

I missed the add/drop deadline but I really need to change my schedule. I’m afraid I’m going to be stuck with subpar grades marring my record for the next 4 years.

I don’t know what to say – what were they supposed to do, sit around and wait for you? They can’t do that. If you missed the deadline, there’s no turning back. No matter how hard you try, they won’t change the rules just for you.
