The unassuming paper you hold in your hand is the centuries-old (well, almost, if you round up, and squint, and can’t count) Stanford Flipside. Steeped in tradition, this humble sheet will be hand-delivered through rain, sleet, snow, and spontaneous pick-up frisbee games right to your lunch table. It will be delivered to other lunch tables too – all of them, in fact – but that doesn’t make the one at your table any less exciting. This tradition is observed once a week, usually on a Monday.

On one side of this page, Stanford’s finest minds skewer topical issues in politics, the sciences, and campus intrigue. On the other side, test your own wit against our own Flipside Puzzle Master’s most challenging brain teasers. And, in addition to this simple sheet of paper, we boast a website (stanfordflipside.com) with new content updated daily, and, less intuitively, a Segway, that will be available to you, the public, every Friday in White Plaza from 12 – 1, simply because we care.

Come to our table at the Activities Fair this Friday if you want to be a part of something great, or find us in room 201 of Old Union on Tuesdays at 9 PM, concocting the news – no experience necessary.
