Stanford athletic director Bob Bowlsby welcomed Richard Shaw earlier today as the new head coach of the Stanford football team.
Shaw has been the dean of admission at Stanford for a number of years, and he has been instrumental in admitting some of the top recruits in the nation.
“Shaw has been here a while. He knows the players and the system,” commented Bowlsby.
“He’s a Stanford man, and he’s really happy to have the job.”

President Hennessy is also quite happy with the hire. “I love Stanford Football. It’s just great to have people coming out to games and staying the whole time.
Go Card!” he said.

Rick Shaw has not yet been reached for comment, but we are confident he will continue the successes of our program and continue to keep Stanford competitive with other top schools like Columbia, Harvard, Princeton and Yale.
