On January 5, 2025, McDonald’s announced DEI efforts are being discontinued at its organization, completely derailing many of the company’s practices.

The customer experience is radically changed upon entering any McDonald’s franchise around the country: No longer will the cooks tell you the pronouns of the chicken you are eating. Disturbed consumers are now forced to come up with their own pronouns for their food, risking a catastrophic misgendering of their 10-piece meal.

Additionally, the McDonald’s corporation has decided to phase out their Kosher-certified bacon cheeseburgers, a move that The Jerusalem Post has condemned as “the worst loss for our community since the Second Temple.”

With the slashing of their DEI policies, the gender gap in cows used to make the burgers is now larger than ever. Protecting Equity for Tasty Animals made a solidarity post last week on Instagram, broadcasting their stand in solidarity with the marginalized cows, stating that “We are horrified at the blatant sexism McDonald’s has condoned. It’s 2025! Female cows are simply not burgerified anymore and we will not stand for this bigotry.”

Kids meals are now offering a limited range of toys in each box, eliminating the option for a book on Critical Race Theory, once the most popular Happy Meal prize. Hundreds of thousands of kids are now forced to be radicalized at their local In-and-Outs instead, breaking a long tradition of liberal activism originating at McDonald’s.

The changes ravaging the McDonald’s corporation are wreaking havoc on the brand we all once loved and knew. And these new changes aren’t just changing the customer experience—these new policies are forever altering the lives of real workers. Employee of the year for the last 61 years, Ronald McDonald, the Hamburger-Happy Clown, has been reportedly written up for wearing bright red lipstick to work and is no longer allowed to talk about his partner, Grimace, in the workplace, for fear of corrupting children with his homosexual, interspecies romantic tendencies.

Customers and workers alike are devastated, further mourning the cancellation of so many important initiatives that will never become realized. Chris Kempczinski, Chairman and CEO of McDonald’s Corporation, released the heartbreaking news that while a brand reboot was previously discussed, a name change to McBarack’s is no longer being considered.
